    Security not described in API

I am using Adobe Flex as a client, and I have problems handling your authentication.
It is not mentioned AT ALL in the documentation. Not even what authentication method is used.
So it is hard for me to even find a work around.
Please describe it in detail !?

    Thanks.

Re: Security not described in API

Hi! It all depends on the software platform you're using to develop; you use your email address and the API key assigned to you when you first registered for the system.

There are samples provided at the end of the documentation; check here: http://fboweb.com/documentation/39/PlaneXML_API_Reference.html#Code

Re: Security not described in API

Is it basic http authentication ?
Is it some login method that is not in the WSDL ?
How long before it expires ?
Do I need to do it on first method call only ?

Also, I have run into another problem, and I would like to know what is allowed in your crossdomain file.

    Thanks,
    Gal.

Re: Security not described in API

Yup! It is Basic HTTP authentication; most SOAP software packages have a mechanism for providing the authentication with the function call. Can you tell me a bit more about what platform you'll be developing with?

As for the cross domain issue; Could you please contact service@fboweb.com with your request?

Re: Security not described in API

I'm working on Adobe flash player 10, using the Flex framework.
The flash player has several API's to handle web services, but from what I read there are some difficulties with authentication.
It also requires crossdomain.xml to allow communication with the server for security reasons.
