    Help to decipher flight information

       Hi:

Great product, I'm hooked. I was tracking my son's flight tonight and noticed information in the popup in google earth when I clicked on his plane:

    MIA./.PERMT.AR16.SEELO..METTA..CHS..FLO.CTF2.CLT/0035

Anyway someone could point me in the right direction regarding what this really means? Obviously if this is just TOO technical I understand, even an online resource etc. Just curious and since it is being displayed thought it would be nice to know what it is.

    thanks again

Re: Help to decipher flight information

that would be the flightplan the aircraft either flew or filed.

    MIA-Miami
    PERMT- Intersection
    AR16- Airway used for departure?
    SEELO- Intersection
    METTA-Intersection
    CHS-Charleston VOR
    FLO-Florence VOR
    CTF2-Arrival path into Charlotte ?
    CLT-Charlotte

not positive on all of them..

Re: Help to decipher flight information

You're right on almost all counts!  the "FLO.CTF2" represents a "STAR", or Standard Arrival procedure.  The CLT is the arrival airport, and the /0033 is the estimated arrival time in GMT (12:30 AM GMT/Zulu time)
