    Sectional Charts with GoogleEarth 4

I've started using the new GoogleEarth 4 beta. When I try to use the sectional charts, they'll load up, then flicker whenever I zoom in or even move the mouse pointer. This makes them totally unusable. Is there any solution to this?

Hey Jared - we're noticing the same trouble too.  We didn't actually write or provide the sectional maps, but we're going to try to contact the developer to see what's going on.  It may be an issue with Google Earth, but as of yet we have no answers.  I'll post a reply in here as soon as we find something out...!

Believe it or not, we just found the fix last night;  this is a known issue with GE 4.0 beta.  Essentially, in Google Earth, go to the Tools Menu, then select Options.  Click the Cache tab, and change the value for Memory Cache size to something larger.  Mine was originally set to 80 megs, I upped it to 200 megs and it solved the problem - however, you may be able to get away with a smaller number (or you may need an even larger number).

Give that a shot and let us know how you make out...!

If your trying to load Sectionals with Google Earth, the link on the FBO website no longer works.  You can now get them from HERE.  Just click on the blue icon that says "G-Earth" at the top of the page.

It now also includes Terminal Area Charts.
